My name is Alexandre Goyard, but please call me Alex, it’s much easier.

Yes, my family name might remind you of the iconic French luxury bag maker, Goyard.
Unfortunately, we’re not related… so I decided to become a chef instead.

My Mission
As mentioned on the homepage, I’ve been a chef for a long time. I worked my way up the ladder all the way to Executive Chef, with my most recent role at Sofitel Brisbane.

Over the past decade, I’ve travelled and cooked across Australia — Cairns, Yulara, Melbourne, and Brisbane, holding Executive Chef positions in each city.
Ten years at the top… that’s a long time. Long enough to say I’m truly an Aussie now: two kids, an Australian wife and an aussie passeport.

But even after all these years, I still missed France — the flavours, the stories, the traditions and of course my family.
So I decided to share its best side with you.
Maybe that’s why I always felt the need to climb higher…
From restaurant kitchens to hotel brigades, and now, finally, into your home.
